Hello everyone!

The Social Follow beta is evolving and with it comes more features. One of which we’re specially excited about.

You can now create a Social Follow Profile for each button you have that will hold a search engine friendly URL. This means you have to claim your name, as they are unique. If you have a business, we suggest claiming that too. Remember, each button can have a profile.

What do these profiles look like? Well, here’s mine:
http://www.socialfollow.com/profiles/kerry-jones/

If you’re worried you don’t have a twitter or don’t have a blog, don’t fret, it is customized to what you have. You will also notice that it adds a “Social Site” to the Social Follow button itself.

Here are a few more profiles:
http://www.socialfollow.com/profiles/social-follow/
http://www.socialfollow.com/profiles/rafferty-pendery/

So, how do you do it? Simply create a new button, or edit an existing one, and go down to the 4th option. This option didn’t exist before.

Select the option of “I want a Social Follow Profile” and fill in as many of the details as possible to get as complete a profile as possible. You will see there is a plethora of options you can choose from.

Have a great day!

The Social Follow button and system has launched for it’s first 500 users. We are going to be testing with these users. After our initial 500 sign up, others will be able to sign up for our newsletter and be informed the minute we launch for general public.

The Social Follow button allows you to have list all your social accounts from one buttons, making it easier for people to follow you across all social profiles.

Thanks for all the support from our friends (aka test subjects) as we have fixed many problems because of their great testing skills.

Have a great day and thanks for follow us!

There have been a select few getting the inside skinny on the launch of Social Follow. I figured I would give a more general update on what we have been working on. Here are some of the things we have been doing in order to have an effective launch and scaling (for expansion) of Social Follow for the future:

1. Reducing Code: After you sign up for the account with Social Follow, you will then create your button. After you enter the links for your social sites, you press Create button and you get a box with the code you need to copy and paste to your website. We have reduced this to only a few lines of code which will make the button load faster and perform better on your website.

2. Improving User Flow: After looking at the flow of the interface, we have made some changes to make the interface more intuitive and overall easier for people to use.

3. Analytics: We were going to wait to release the analytics functionality of the Social Follow button, but looks like we should be able to release it on our initial launch. This required us to do additional coding to make the button track things such as how many impressions your Social Follow button gets, how many people are using your social follow button for any given period of time and lots more.

We will give more specific updates to the different parts of Social Follow as they are finalized.

Thanks for following!
